Air Vanuatu Launches Recovery Fares

25 March 2015

To help support our customers and to encourage those that may wish to travel between Santo or Tanna and Vila, Air Vanuatu has launched a 'recovery' fare for domestic travel.

Return flights from Vila to Santo have been reduced to 25,000vt for adults. Return flights from Vila to Tanna are 23,000vt return.

Chief Executive Officer Joseph Laloyer said the airline was committed to doing all possible to assist in the recovery effort post Cyclone Pam.

"Air Vanuatu is facing a period of limited demand as we as a nation rebuild. We are encouraging international tourists to visit Santo and the northern islands but also want to encourage domestic travel where possible too," he said.

The recovery fares are available for a limited time only and conditions including a minimum three-night stay apply.

Tickets must be booked and paid for by 15 April 2015 for travel until 30 August 2015. Child and infant fares have also been reduced for the sale period.

"Air Vanuatu needs the patronage of the traveling public as much as we need to support Vanuatu. It is more important now than ever to back the national carrier and we ask the traveling public to support our rebuild by booking with us," Mr. Laloyer said.
