MONDAY, 22nd AUGUST 2016

Air Vanuatu has completed the first stage of its IOSA registration with a successful audit conducted by ACS Ltd, an IATA approved audit company.

The preliminary results are outstanding, with no systemic issues identified within Air Vanuatu.

“We are delighted with the results to date and are confident we will regain our IOSA registration,” chief executive officer Joseph Laloyer announced.

The international audit team included four flight captains and one flight engineer.

“We made a commitment to our shareholders to regain our IOSA certificate as part of the airline’s restructure announced earlier this year,” Mr. Laloyer said.

“We have the very best team leading our operations department and this has resulted in our excellent audit performance.”

Former Ansett pilot and Qantas safety auditor Alexandra Lock was appointed General Manager, Quality, Safety & Security Systems and lead a team of very experienced aviation managers and staff to ensure the excellent result.

Air Vanuatu also has a new General Manager Operations, Patrick Byrne. Patrick has a wealth of experience working for several international airlines in operations, engineering and safety systems.

“Together our committed staff has achieved an excellent result and we’re looking forward to returning to the IOSA registration,” Mr. Laloyer said.
